Our Services
Our supported living services are designed for adults with learning disability, mental health issues or other complex needs care.
Our services are of high quality and person-centred, to meet the individual needs of each of our residents.
Our services are comprehensive and holistic, and covers a wide range of needs.

Here are some of the services we offer:
Accommodation
Olavendercare is situated in a quiet residential area which comprises four en-suite bedrooms and one self-contained flat within the property. It offers a well-planned, yet flexible accommodation spread over three floors. This wonderful home comprises generous living space and a spacious kitchen/breakfast area on the ground floor and a well-maintained garden. Our open-plan living spaces form the heart of our home, expertly designed to promote maximum comfort. Our contemporary, light-filled rooms are designed to meet the needs of service users.
One to One Support
We offer support for individuals with learning difficulties, complex needs and challenging behaviour.
We work closely with each service user, their family and carers to identify and work towards the goals that are important to them – build independent living skills, manage and maintain their living space and become part of their local communities.
We support service users to access a wide range of day activities and work closely with the local community. These include different health and wellbeing, leisure and educational activities.
Medication
Using the STOMP (stopping over medication of people with a learning disability, autism or both with psychotropic medicines) principals, we help service users to stay well and have a good quality of life by:- * Encouraging service users to have regular check-ups about their medicines. ** Making sure doctors and other health professionals involve service users, families and support staff in decisions about medicines. *** Informing everyone about non-drug therapies and practical ways of supporting people so they are less likely to need as much medicine, if any.
Activities and Events
Living with learning difficulties should not stop someone from leading an active and enjoyable life, and from being supported to get out and about in their local community. We support service users in gaining new experiences and accessing supported sporting activities such as cycling, yoga, swimming, gardening and exploring volunteering opportunities in the local area.
Exercising or playing a sport is a great way to stay fit and healthy and can help provide a fun environment to teach social skills.
Life Skills
People with learning difficulties and complex care needs should be fully involved in their local community, to access all that the community has to offer them and to be able to contribute to that community.
Positive Behaviour Support
We believe happy service users are less challenging people. We therefore focus on increasing quality of life using the positive behaviour support framework to develop bespoke packages of support. We work with PBS specialists to understand why a service user may present behaviours that challenge to develop individualised PBS plans which our skilled staff are then coached to implement.
Our supported living services are comprehensive and holistic. We work together to create a personalised program focusing on your specific needs, interests and skills…
